Shakira and Gerard Piqué agree custody of children

A few months after their separation, Shakira (45) and Gerard Piqué (35) reached an agreement on custody of their children. The US media report unanimously. "We have signed a custody agreement," says a statement from the separated couple, which is said to be available to the US gossip portal "TMZ".

The only goal of the singer and the soccer player is "to offer our children the highest level of safety and protection". They therefore hope that their sons Sasha (7) and Milan (9) can continue their lives "in a safe and peaceful environment". The magazine "People" also refers to this statement. The details of the agreement are not known.

An anonymous source is said to have stated in each case that the agreement was made entirely for the benefit of the children. The former couple used to live in Spain with their sons, but Shakira is said to be moving with Milan and Sasha to Miami, where the singer's family lives, according to the insider.

Piqué had just ended his career. A few days ago he surprisingly announced that he would be retiring from professional football. Shakira and Gerard Piqué publicly announced in June that they were ending their relationship.

The couple met while filming the music video for Shakira's song "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)", the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The two got together a little later and were considered one of the great power couples in the world of sports and entertainment for many years. At the beginning of 2013 their first son Milan was born, the second son Sasha followed at the beginning of 2015.
