Schöneberger initially solo on RTL: Günther Jauch infected with Corona again

The RTL show "Because they don't know what's happening" had to take place again last Saturday evening (November 5, also on RTL) without Günther Jauch (66). The moderator has been infected again with the corona virus - a situation that should be familiar to the viewers...

In April 2021, Jauch was infected with the virus for the first time and failed at "Because you don't know what's happening". "I don't know why that is, but whenever it starts with 'Because you don't know what's happening', the corona virus looks around the corner from me," he said in a video message on Saturday. Jauch further explained that he was already on his way to Cologne on Friday evening "and that's when I realized: Something is wrong and bang".

As if Jauch's failure wasn't enough, his colleague Thomas Gottschalk (72) also stayed away from the show. Barbara Schöneberger (48) was therefore initially solo on the show. "Barbara, I hope you've noticed I'm not there because I took an advanced surfing class here in Malibu and tonight is a show, I really want to win that," the entertainer quipped in a video message that the was taken on a beach. In it, Gottschalk posed with a surfboard right in front of the sea. For Schöneberger it was still "unbelievable": "As if Thomas' hair could get wet."

However, Schöneberger did not have to do the show all alone. Star chef Steffen Henssler (50) stepped in as a substitute moderator. The entertainer had to compete against the actor couple Jan Josef Liefers (58) and Anna Loos (51) on the show. In the meantime, she received support from comedian Oliver Pocher (44), with whom she was finally able to win.
