Fans rarely see that: Peter Maffay (73) met his son Yaris (19) on Monday evening at the premiere of the TV show "Happy Birthday Tabaluga!" shown in the Zoo Palast Berlin. Arm in arm and in matching outfits, the father-son team confidently posed for the cameras.
Peter Maffay appeared in an all-over black look consisting of jeans, a slightly unbuttoned shirt and a jacket. He also wore a silver chain. Son Yaris, who is also an aspiring musician and plays in a band, also seems to like this style: The 19-year-old came in dark jeans and a black jacket, under which he wore a white shirt with a low neckline. The chain could not be missing with him either.
Peter Maffay's girlfriend Hendrikje Balsmeyer (36), who mastered the flashbulb in a combination of dress, bomber jacket, tights and chunky boots, also appeared all in black. The two have been in a relationship since 2015 and had a daughter together in November 2018.
Son Yaris (born 2003) comes from a previous relationship of Peter Maffay, who was married four times and has another daughter.
With "Happy Birthday Tabaluga! The big show with Peter Maffay and friends" the station Sat.1 celebrates the 40th anniversary of the green dragon and its adventure stories. The show will be broadcast on Sat.1 on April 10 at 8:15 p.m. In addition to Maffay, who is co-inventor of the famous cartoon character and has also written and sung numerous songs for the television series, stars such as Johannes Oerding (41), Wincent Weiss (30), Beatrice Egli (34) and The BossHoss will also appear. Thore Schölermann (38) will moderate the event.
