Michelle Obama celebrated her 59th birthday on January 17th. Her husband, former US President Barack Obama (61), insisted on publicly congratulating him via Instagram. "Happy Birthday Michelle Obama," wrote the 61-year-old. "You make every day brighter - and somehow you always look better!" In addition, the ex-president published a photo in which they enjoyed the sunset on a balcony.

Michelle Obama, in turn, commented on the post with a red heart and a kiss emoji. She also posted the photo on her Instagram story, along with an "I love you" sticker. The former first lady also spoke up in a post and thanked everyone who thought of her birthday. "Thank you all for the birthday love," she captioned a photo of herself. "I say this often, and I mean it - I love you guys back, and I'm so grateful for your support every step of my journey."

Michelle and Barack Obama have been married since 1992. In October 2022 they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Together they have daughters Malia (24) and Sasha (21).
