"Love is blind": That's what fans can expect in the third season

"Love is blind" (originally: "Love is blind") celebrates the premiere of season three on October 19. In the Netflix dating show, the participants engage in a special experiment. The fans can look forward to that.

First the idea behind the show: Singles who want to be loved for who they are and not just judged by their looks take part in an experiment. They want to find the woman or man of their dreams without ever having seen them before. Without the distraction of the outside world, singles speak to a range of potential partners by sitting separately in small booths called "pods" and only being able to judge the interlocutor based on their voice and the words said.

If the chemistry is right and a special connection is formed, they get engaged and only then see each other for the first time in a big meeting. As an engaged couple, they then face the reality check of everyday life and plan their wedding. The upcoming wedding day is getting closer and closer and at the altar both have to decide whether love is really blind, whether they dare or whether they are single again. After a reunion episode with all potential couples, there have been three more "After the Altar" episodes in the past two seasons, in which the couples and the participants have continued to be accompanied on their way.

The first season premiered in February 2020, the second two years later. The success rates for the happy endings of the couples are still manageable. Two married couples from season one are still happy (Amber and Matt and Lauren and Cameron), from season two there are no more couples despite two marriages. The third season will again be hosted by Nick (48) and Vanessa Lachey (41) and will include twelve episodes. This time, after Atlanta and Chicago, the participants will get to know each other in Dallas, Texas. A first trailer also promises a lot of drama for season three.

The clip, which begins with the words "some love stories you don't see coming," doesn't just show marriage proposals, engagements and candidates in wedding dresses. One scene in particular stands out: Candidates Cole and Matt openly discuss their respective relationship troubles after their time on The Pods, when Matt bluntly asks Cole, "Do you think I should have any reservations?" and he replies, "Are you kidding me? We should just switch fiancés."

The clip also shows Nancy crying, realizing, "The person I love doesn't love me." And Bartise admits he has feelings for several women. It remains to be seen whether he will come to this conclusion in the "Pods" or only afterwards. A total of 30 singles face the special love experiment. Another clip that Netflix published in advance provides a first impression of the singles and their ideas of what a partner needs to bring with them.

As "Variety" reports, the first four episodes of the third season will be released on October 19. Episodes five through seven will follow on October 26th, episodes eight through ten on November 2nd. The finale and reunion are expected on November 9th.
