Even Hollywood stars fall for scammers from time to time. Recent example: Julianne Moore (62). In an interview with "Bild am Sonntag", the actress told about an incident in the New York subway. There she fell for a well-known scam: "Someone came up to me and said: 'Hi! I live in Westchester and I just got mugged. I only need $20 to buy a ticket home.'" She trusted the person and gave her the money.

About a month later, she was approached by the same man who wanted to tell her the story again: "That's when I realized that I had fallen for a scam." It is a "terrible trick" that unfortunately works far too often: "I just didn't know that at the time!" To this day, it still saddens her when she thinks about it. She was disappointed that such unfortunate situations were being exploited by other people.
