"Everyone sings Christmas": Florian Silbereisen sings with these stars

Singing together makes you happy, the experts agree. The Leipzig musicologist Dr. Thomas Schinköth, himself a passionate choir singer and conductor, even told the MDR that singing "releases happiness and bonding hormones, opens all the senses and sets the whole body in motion". In addition, "especially when singing in a choir, the need of the social being human being for community and togetherness is fulfilled," Schinköth continues. You also need each other: the singers "listen to each other, form harmonies together and resolve dissonances together".

According to experts, singing together even helps against depressive moods. Musicologist Prof. Dr. Gunter Kreutz from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg confirmed to the broadcaster: "It has indeed been shown in recent years that singing is associated with the release of hormones and neurotransmitters that activate the reward system and thereby significantly increase the subjective mood ." This also works for people who are not feeling well or who are suffering from depressive moods. Singing is of course "not a cure", but at least feelings can be regulated with it and one can find one's own emotional center.

It is not yet clear which Christmas carols will be sung in the program "All sing Christmas". From the German-language classics like "The bells never ring sweeter", "Oh Tannenbaum" or "Silent Night" to international and more pop songs like "All I Want for Christmas Is You", "Last Christmas", "It's Beginning to Look". a Lot Like Christmas", "Driving Home for Christmas" or "Feliz Navidad" everything is imaginable.
