Model and actress Alena Gerber (33) is currently enjoying a break in the Maldives with her husband Clemens Fritz (41) and their five-year-old daughter. Almost a kind of tradition for the small family. "Once a year we consciously take two weeks just for ourselves," reveals the 33-year-old. "Every year we think about flying somewhere else, but then we decide again to go to the Maldives because we don't get this peace and quiet anywhere else."

In recent years, the family has also spent Christmas in the sun. This year, however, the model is breaking new ground. "My husband wanted to go skiing in Austria. We will celebrate with my parents-in-law in a hut in the snow," explains the 33-year-old. "Our daughter is already really good at skiing and I am very, very grateful that we can offer her such trips and experiences."

Gerber also looks back on the past year with gratitude. "It was one of my best years ever in my private life and probably my most successful professionally," said the 33-year-old. "I've made two feature films, one of them in Hollywood. I'm incredibly grateful for these opportunities and sometimes I can't believe how good life is for me. That's why I really try to give a lot back and do something for the people and animals that I love It's not going so well. I know every second that I'm very blessed and I carry a tremendous amount of gratitude within me."

For the year 2023, the actress wishes one thing above all: "That the world becomes a more harmonious, fearless and safer place again."
