Actor Adama Niane (1966-2023) is dead. As various media reports, the Frenchman died at the age of only 56.

Niane is best known for playing Leonard Kone in the Netflix series Lupin. Its main actor Omar Sy (45), who plays the main character Assane Diop in the series, publicly mourns the death of his colleague.

The actor tweeted: "I send my heartfelt condolences to the family of Adama Niane, a magnificent actor who I had the chance and pleasure to act alongside. A man of rare kindness... May his soul rest rest..."

Niane also starred in the revenge thriller "Get In" by director and screenwriter Olivier Abbou (49). He also expressed his grief for the actor on social media. On Instagram, he recalled four years together with a photo of the Frenchman and raved about the artistic and human adventures that they would have shared "at the other end of the world": "He was dedicated, bright, talented, powerful. He was my hero , a friend, an accomplice."
