New: Skoda Enyaq RS: double pack with connector

However, the electric fans of Skoda still have to wait for a performance boost, which has been wafting through the aisles in the Volkswagen Group for a long time. In the medium term, the 220 kW / 299 PS, which the VW ID4 / 5 and the Audi Q4 Etron also deliver, should not be enough. Not only are the 245 kW / 333 hp that the sporty one-off VW IDX is talking about, but up to 265 kW / 360 hp in order not to let the performance gap to various competing models from Europe and the USA become too great. But for the time being, the new Skoda Enyaq RS remains at the well-known 220 kW / 299 PS / 460 Nm. This makes the crossover 180 km/h fast and from a standing start the all-wheel drive sprints to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds.

A drag coefficient of 0.27 ensures a maximum range of 500 kilometers. While the new VW ID4 models with the same output can quickly recharge up to 170 kW, the sporty Skoda Enyaq should already be at 135 kilowatts. This charges the 82 kWh battery pack in the underbody from 10 to 80 percent in just under 40 minutes. Dimensions and equipment are almost identical between the Skoda Enyaq RS and Enyaq RS Coupé. Both models are 4.65 meters long, 1.88 meters wide and 1.61 meters high. The wheelbase of 2.77 meters ensures that there is plenty of space inside. At 585 liters, the luggage compartment volume is only 15 liters larger than that of the coupe version. If you fold down the rear seats, you can use up to 1,710 liters.

The Enyaq RS is optionally available with 20- to 21-inch wheels, matrix LED headlights and LED taillights. The striking Crystal Face, in which 131 LEDs illuminate the vertical ribs and the horizontal bar of the grille, is also available as an option for the electric crossover. The Enyaq RS is optionally available with a large panoramic sunroof that can be opened halfway in the front area. The central infotainment display with a screen diagonal of 13 inches and the 5.3-inch digital cockpit, which can be optionally supplemented with a head-up display with augmented reality function, are on board as standard. There is no official price yet, but the new top model should be at the level of the Skoda Enyaq RS Coupé, which starts at 61,550 euros.
