The Siro biscuit factory in Venta de Baños will close its doors, Cerealto Siro Foods confirmed yesterday to the workers' representatives, which will transfer the activity of this plant to the rest of the factories it has in Castilla y León.

The forecast is that the transfer will take place gradually and is due to the lack of competitiveness of the company.

The company will continue to negotiate this Tuesday with the works council the extremes of compensation and the possibility that employees can move to other plants. Around 300 people currently work at the plant.
