The emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, will make a state visit between tomorrow and Wednesday in which he will be received by King Felipe VI and by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez. The trip has a marked economic character. The critical issue is going to be the gas supply.

It is the first official visit since Tamim bin Hamad al Thani succeeded his father in 2013. Qatar has the third largest natural gas reserves in the world. It is the fifth supplier of natural gas in Spain, behind the United States, Algeria, Ni
