Ayuso announces a total renewal of the Madrid PP with only four deputy secretaries

The total renovation in the structure of the Popular Party of Madrid. The president of the Community of Madrid, who today will be elected leader of the popular people of Madrid, has announced this morning profound changes in the new direction that she will officially present this afternoon in her speech at the XVII Congress of the PP in Madrid.

As a first measure of this restructuring, the deputy secretaries will be reduced to four, from the six that currently exist, and will create new areas such as Family, Madrilenians Abroad, New Madrilenians and Citizen Services.

One of the most important innovations is the new parliamentary coordination area to supervise the work of deputies, senators, regional parliamentarians and municipal groups.

Ayuso admitted that this new structure will be "smaller, shorter, focused on the organization of the territory, an electoral area, with special attention to disability, family and motherhood."

To take charge of these new areas, the renewal in terms of people will be total, with some exceptions. Likewise, these changes will affect the spokesperson in the Madrid Assembly, as Alfonso Serrano is elected as the new Secretary General. Ayuso, to questions from ABC, has stated that "the new spokesperson or the new one will be known next week, as soon as possible."

Most of the new positions will be "unknown people" and will combine experience with youth: "It is not a question of age, but of people" and will not respond to a question of quotas either: "I risk doing something different, putting of the game to the most committed, the most honest, winning people. Making this team has cost me a lot because there are very good people".
