When his contract with France's giants ends in June, the World Cup winner will become a free agent.

He was previously associated with Liverpool. However, Bild reports that Mbappe will be going to the Bernabeu.

PSG rejected two bids for the flight forward in the hope that they could convince him to stay. The second bid was at PS154million. The report indicates that their efforts to convince him to stay have not been successful.

Florentino Perez, Los Blancos president, is believed to have made the Frenchman, aged 23, a priority. According to the report, Mbappe will receive a staggering PS41.5 million-a-year salary.
Real Madrid's pursuit for Mbappe is reported to have angered PSG. This could make things more interesting when they meet in February in the last-16 Champions League.

Leonardo, the sporting director of PSG, accused Real Madrid's 'illegal' behavior in August. He claimed that they had directly contacted Mbappe's representatives.

Real Madrid has been acting like this for the past two years. It isn't correct and illegal, even though they have contacted the player. Leonardo stated that it was unacceptable because it is wrong.

"It is proof that the strategy works: An offer comes one-year before the contract ends and seven days before it expires.

"They want us reject them, to show Kylian they tried everything, and to begin negotiating for next years."

Mbappe joined PSG in 2017 on a loan move from Monaco, before making a permanent switch to PS166m a year later.

He has been a revelation in Paris, scoring 151 goals in just 199 matches and recording 77 assists.

PSG looks set to win the Ligue 1 title, which Mbappe won four times before.

Mbappe was unable to stop PSG losing to Bayern Munich in 2020's final of the Champions League, the only trophy French clubs have had.
