Migration: Turkey denies border incident involving 92 naked migrants

Turkey has denied allegations from Greek ministries that 92 naked migrants were herded across the shared border into Greece. "Spend your time respecting human rights, not manipulation and dishonesty!" Deputy Interior Minister Ismail Catakli tweeted on Saturday evening.

Several Greek ministries reported on Saturday that the migrants had been picked up undressed at the Evros border river in northeastern Greece. According to the Ministry of Citizen Protection, the incident happened on Friday.

Strong criticism of Turkey

Greek Migration Minister Notis Mitarakis tweeted a photo of naked men on Saturday claiming to prove the incident. The minister accused Turkey of sending the people across the border. Turkish behavior is a disgrace to civilization.

Turkey's Deputy Interior Minister Catakli wrote in his tweet that Greece has chosen an image of "its own cruelty" and is acting as if it were Turkey's work.
