Taylor Swift: She trains so hard even without a tour

The singer has probably shown often enough in the past few months and years that Taylor Swift (34) is anything but lazy. She set numerous musical records, won the most important awards, has just released her eleventh studio album and is also preparing for further concerts on her acclaimed "The Eras Tour". During all of this, she apparently also trained hard.

“Her work ethic is just incredible,” enthuses Kirk Myers in an interview with Vogue magazine. He has been taking care of the singer's fitness for almost ten years. Swift's program was "really hard," he says. "Some people would probably vomit or lay on the floor if they exercised like she did."

The training for “The Eras Tour,” which will take Swift to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for several concerts in the summer of 2024, is completely tailored to the singer. The two approached the program with the mindset of a professional athlete. "When she's not on tour, we're in the gym up to six days a week, sometimes two hours a day," says Myers. The focus here is on strength, conditioning and core training, which helps with dancing and singing, among other things.

But Swift also trained throughout the entire tour, on average twice a week. Here it was more about maintenance and recovery techniques were also used. "If you've seen the show, you know how physically demanding it is," Myers says. "Imagine doing this three or four days in a row and then you finally have a few days off and still go to the gym. That's Taylor."

Anyone who likes it a little more comfortable can finally make themselves comfortable on the couch with Swift's new album. "The Tortured Poets Department" was released on April 19th - with a surprise for fans. "'The Tortured Poets Department' is a secret DOUBLE ALBUM," Swift announced on Instagram. "Over the last two years I've written so much tortured poetry and wanted to share it with you. So here is the second part of "TTPD: The Anthology". 15 additional songs."
