Marvel mime Jonathan Majors arrested for alleged domestic violence

Eddy about actor Jonathan Majors (33): As American media consistently report, including "Variety", the cinema whiz kid was arrested in New York last Saturday (March 25). According to this, a 30-year-old woman is raising charges of domestic violence against the new Marvel star, who recently made his debut in the MCU in the film "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania".

A statement from the New York police said the woman was taken to hospital after being assaulted with "minor head and neck injuries." The police report also quotes: "The victim told the police that he had been attacked. The officers then arrested the 33-year-old man without resistance."

A spokesman for Majors has vehemently denied the allegations to the site: The actor "did nothing wrong. We will clear his name and clarify this matter," the star said.

Majors is still quite new in the film business, from 2017 he was able to celebrate his first major successes in Hollywood. In 2023, however, he made the jump into the big blockbuster squad twice: First, he took part in the already mentioned Marvel strip "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", in which he made his first screen appearance as the new MCU super villain Kang the conqueror laid down. Also in the boxer drama "Creed III - Rocky's Legacy", which has been in German cinemas since the beginning of March, he mimics the adversary of the title character, who is once again played by Michael B. Jordan (36).

Whether the allegations will have an impact on his further career is not yet foreseeable. Filmstudio Searchlight recently secured the rights to the next major movie, a critically acclaimed bodybuilding drama called Magazine Dreams. The film is slated to hit theaters later this year.
