Kaley Cuoco: She honors late TV father John Ritter

Kaley Cuoco (38) remembered the late John Ritters (1948-2003) at the “An Evening from the Heart” gala. He played her father on the series "8 Simple Rules" for two seasons until his death in 2003. "He was so funny and he loved his fans. He was so good," the actress recalled to People.

Cuoco also told her favorite story with the American. "I remember when we were filming '8 Simple Rules,' [he] always told me that he purposely messed up in front of the audience to make them laugh. And I said, 'Never!' And then I watched him screw it up again and again, even though I knew he knew the scenes," she said. Ritter didn't take himself too seriously, which caused a lot of laughs.

The event, hosted by The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, celebrated the actor's life and raised money to raise awareness for aortic health. Kaley Coco raved about the commitment of John Ritter's family. "I would do anything for his wife and children. And I'm really very proud to be here and honor him," she emphasized. John Ritter moved many people during his lifetime.

John Ritter died in 2003 at the age of 54 from a misdiagnosed aortic dissection. He left behind his wife Amy Yasbeck (61) and four children. After his death, the family founded the foundation, which has since been dedicated to raising awareness about aortic health.

Kaley Cuoco was very close to her TV father. The “Big Bang Theory” actress regularly attends the event and repeatedly posts tributes on the anniversary of his death.
