Panic! At The Disco will disband. The lead singer of the US band, Brendon Urie (35), announced this to the fans in a long Instagram statement. "Growing up in Vegas, I never could have imagined where this life would take me," he began his message. "All the many places around the world and all the friends we've made along the way."

But sometimes a journey has to end so that a new one can begin, explains the singer. "We've tried to keep it to ourselves, although some of you may have heard about it. Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon!" "The prospect of becoming a father and seeing my wife become a mother is [...] very exciting. I look forward to this next adventure." This means that he "will bring this chapter of my life to an end and put my focus and energy on my family. With that, Panic! At The Disco will be no more."

He would like to thank you for the great support over the years, writes Brendon Urie. "I've sat here trying to find the perfect way to say this and I really can't put into words how much it meant to us." It was a pleasure for the band "to share not only the stage with so many talented people but also our time with you. I look forward to seeing everyone in Europe and the UK on one last journey together."

Panic! At The Disco was founded in 2004 by school friends Ryan Ross (36) and Spencer Smith (35), later joined by Brendon Urie and Brent Wilson (35). The line-up has changed frequently since then, with Urie being the only remaining original member. In 2005, the band released their debut album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.

Her most successful release is the single "High Hopes" from 2018, which received awards at the MTV Video Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards, among others. In 2022 the seventh studio album "Viva Las Vengeance" was released, with which the band will go on tour this year. In this country there is panic! At The Disco on February 21st in the Olympiahalle in Munich, on February 23rd in the Barclays Arena in Hamburg and on February 24th in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne.
