The eagerly awaited nominations for this year's Oscars will be announced in Hollywood on Tuesday (January 24). Favorites include films such as Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans, the tragic comedy The Banshees of Inisherin, the biopic Elvis and the sci-fi comedy Everything Everywhere All At Once. Stars like Cate Blanchett, Michelle Yeoh, Colin Farrell and Austin Butler can hope for a nomination.

The German film "Nothing New in the West" by director Edward Berger has a chance in the "International Feature Film" category. The anti-war drama made a shortlist of 15 candidates in December, with five making the final round. Also in the Make Up divisions

The nominations will be announced by British actor Riz Ahmed and his US colleague Allison Williams. The 95th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood is scheduled for March 12th.
