He is said to have choked a child: "Everyone was afraid. Many cried" – Angelina Jolie raises serious allegations in the legal dispute with Brad Pitt

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has filed a so-called counterclaim against her ex-husband Brad Pitt. Numerous US media, including the "New York Times", report that the actress is making new allegations against Pitt in the court documents, which primarily relate to a joint private flight from France to California in September 2016. It is said that Pitt first attacked Jolie - and then two of the six children who were also on board.

According to the documents, the dispute initially began between Angelina Jolie and her husband. He felt she was "too submissive" to the children who grabbed her, shook her and pushed her against the wall of the jet. When the children present got involved in the argument, Pitt attacked them too. Jolie reports that Pitt punched one of the children in the face and allegedly choked another.

Pitt also allegedly poured beer and wine on Jolie and the children during the argument. In the filing, Jolie describes the situation on board: "Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and slapped another in the face. Some of the children begged Pitt to stop. They were all scared. Many were crying."

Angelina Jolie's counterclaim comes in response to a lawsuit brought by Brad Pitt against his ex-wife in February. This case was about a dispute over a French winery, the "Château de Miraval" near Brignoles, whose shares Jolie is said to have sold to third parties without her husband's consent.

In the wake of that lawsuit, it was revealed that Pitt had required Jolie to sign a non-disclosure agreement when negotiating to give him ownership of the winery. This would have forbidden her to talk about incidents like the flight in 2016. That ultimately led to Jolie not being able to reach an agreement with Pitt, it said.

The flight and what happened on board are no secret - because shortly afterwards Jolie filed for divorce, which became final in 2019. At the time, Jolie was demanding sole custody of the children, who are now between the ages of 14 and 21. Even the FBI was involved in investigating the incidents on board the plane at the time, but stopped investigating Brad Pitt a few weeks later.
