Beauty trick: Stray hair: This is how you conceal light spots, hair loss and a receding hairline

Stray hair is tiny microfibers that are statically charged - this allows them to bond with the hair and cover up bald spots or a receding hairline. For this reason, stray hair (also called hair fibers) should be equally suitable for men and women. Regardless of whether you want to conceal roots or give your hair more volume: the application is always the same. However, before you decide on a product, you should read the following information carefully.

In fact, stray hair has been around for more than 20 years, only earlier it was only used in the film and theater industry. In the meantime, however, the products are also available in retail outlets, mostly in the form of small doses – like hair powder. Only this is not a powder, but fibers made of keratin (i.e. animal components) or vegetable cotton. There are even products made from artificial fibers such as nylon. But it doesn't matter what the stray hair is made of: In the end, the fibers still have to be dyed so that there is the right shade for every hair color. If you then put the electrostatically charged stray hair on your scalp, it will bond with your own hair. This should make it easy for men and women to conceal thin hair, sparse patches and a receding hairline.

First of all, it is important that you choose the right shade - this is the only way to cover your hair in a natural way. It doesn't matter whether you want to conceal something or just give your thin, fine or light hair more color and fullness: the application remains the same in each case. It is important for you to know that your hair must be dry so that the fibers do not get wet and form small lumps when applied. You should also style your hair accordingly first and then use the hair fibers. Once the stray hair has bonded with your hairstyle, it should be wind and water resistant. To be on the safe side, you can also treat your hair with a special fixing spray for stray hair. Later you can easily wash the fibers out of your hair again with shampoo.

And one more tip at the end: The stray hair should stick to the scalp so firmly that you can also do sports with it. Most products can even withstand a short rain shower – but if your hair gets too wet, the color can be washed out.
