First, stunned her. Raped her then on the switch, while filming the abuse. So that left her helpless, and shared the video of the rape on social media.

Now, they combined to spend 36 years behind bars.

A nice mother-daughter vacation to Italy in October 2016, ended as a nightmare for two british women.

Shortly after, she had lost her husband, went to a british woman and her adult daughter on holiday to the south of the town of Meta di Sorrento south of Naples, in order to recuperate again.

But on the last day something happened, which not only destroyed the trip, but also the 50-year-old mother's life.

She was subjected to a brutal gang rape by a group of men who worked at the hotel where they lived.

Now have an Italian court sentenced the five men sentences of between nine and four years in prison.

"Hopefully, the verdicts help her (the 50-year-old victim, red.) to get on with his life," says the woman's lawyer, Lucilla Longone to The Sun.

It all began very well, as the 50-year-old woman and her 26-year-old daughter ate dinner in the hotel restaurant.

the Staff at the hotel were very friendly, and at one point invited a few of the staff women on a drink in the bar.

Shortly after her daughter so bad that she had to go to the bathroom to throw up.

When she came back, was both the mother and the men away.

What the daughter didn't know was that the men had also put a numbing agent in the mother's drink and lured her away from the bar area.

he Then raped her on the switch in a room near the hotel's swimming pool.

It was only when mother and daughter stood in the airport the day after the 50-year-old woman broke down and told what had happened.

at Home in England, she the abuse to the police, and managed to secure DNA from the five men from her fingernails.

Because the men had shared a video of abuse in a group on WhatsApp, the police had a unique evidence in the case.

The convicted men's families were furious and cried out for abuse of power.

Their reactions were so violent, that they had called in extra security personnel to the court.
