Eva Mendes opens up about her life with Ryan Gosling.

In an interview with Forbes, the Skura Style coowner and brand ambassador, 48, said that she is not an "amazing cook". She hopes that Gosling's presence at dinner will set a good example to their daughters Esmeralda (7, and Amada (6, respectively).

She told the publication that she hoped it would show her girls that there aren't gender-specific roles one must assume and that they are all partners in this.

Mendes said, "It's always a team effort every day, so if they can see me and him switching off doing certain activities that again don't specifically relate to stereotypical gender things," Mendes added.

Skura Style, a female-focused kitchen-centric company founded by Skura Style, recently announced that the self-proclaimed "kitchen freak” is now a co-owner.

In May, she spoke out about how she fell in love with the brand’s antimicrobial sponge and told PEOPLE that dish duty is a therapeutic experience for her family.

The mother of two, after a long hiatus from acting for years, revealed last month that her desire to return to acting. However she still has some requirements before she can get back on the screen.
