Kirsty can be seen enjoying the sun in a photo shared to Twitter last month.

"After feeling quite run down for a while it's so great to feel back to myself and out and about!"

"And what beautiful day, the sun is out at long last. It's back at work, hallelujah!

Soon, the TV star received an avalanche of messages from her fans.

Kirsty, the host of Great British Breakfast, announced her decision to take a short break via an Instagram post in November.

She wrote, "During the summer, I discovered that I had a tumor in my inner canal of the right ear.

"Thankfully, it's not very detrimental to my daily life.

"However, the tumour caused severe tinnitus that makes it difficult to fall asleep.

"Sadly, my 3am starts at GB News, combined with sleep deprivation, are aggravating my symptoms."

Kirsty said, "I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as Great British Breakfast host while I concentrate on my health.

"GB News has been incredibly supportive to me and I look forward returning to the channel as soon possible.

"As I adapt to managing my condition, my work commitments will be less disruptive and I will continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle so that I can quickly get back to my normal routine."
