New: Opel Mokka Electric: reference

The electric version of the Opel Mokka was previously called the Mokka-e and was obligatory with a 100 kW / 136 hp electric motor powered by a 50 kWh battery pack. For the new model year, the Rüsselsheimer is on the road with the name Opel Mokka Electric; a nomenclature annex introduced by the electric Astra. The larger battery pack and the slight increase in performance also come from the electric Astra. On request, the new Mokka Electric, like the Astra, which will celebrate its public premiere in the middle of next year, is available with an enlarged battery pack and a capacity of at least 54 kWh. The electric motor also comes from the electric group brothers Peugeot e-308 or Astra Electric and is now 115 kW / 156 hp.

Despite the slight increase in output, the maximum torque of 260 Nm and the top speed of 150 km/h, which is limited early, are unchanged. After all, the Opel Astra Electric can drive at speeds of 170 km/h. "With a new electric drive and a larger battery, we are now making the Mokka Electric even stronger, more efficient and better," says Opel CEO Florian Huettl. With the 100 kW quick charge, the battery pack in the underbody is boosted to 80 percent in half an hour. The larger battery increases the maximum range from 338 to just over 400 kilometers. The standard consumption of the Opel Mokka Electric: 15.2 kWh per 100 kilometers. In Germany, the demand for the electric version of the Mokka is particularly high - in November, two-thirds of all newly registered models in Germany were electrically powered.
