In view of the spring-like temperatures, ski operations on the Fichtelberg have ended for this season. There is still snow on the slopes, but no more closed snow cover, said the managing director of the Fichtelberg suspension railway, René Lötzsch, on Friday of the German Press Agency. For a few days now, skiing has only been possible on the Himmelsleiter descent. The number of winter sports enthusiasts has recently been manageable, said Lötzsch.
