Oscar winner Russell Crowe ("Gladiator") mourns the loss of his dog. The 58-year-old shared a photo of the toy spaniel named Louis, who Crowe said had turned 16 months, on Twitter on Thursday. "Unfortunately today, on the second anniversary of my father's death, Louis was hit by a truck," wrote the New Zealand-Australian film star. "We tried to take him to the vet but he died in my arms while I was still telling him how much we loved him."

Louis was "tiny, cheeky, brave," Crowe said. "He won my heart." Under his post, many people expressed their condolences. Exactly two years earlier, the actor mourned the death of his father in an emotional Twitter post.
