Winter came back at the end of February and provided skiing fun in some of the low mountain ranges. On the island of Usedom, daring people wanted to throw themselves into the ice-cold Baltic Sea for ice bathing. Because of a storm surge warning, there was only an ice shower instead. According to the organizer Tom Müller, around 125 ice bathers came despite the adverse weather conditions, of which a good 40 dared to take the ice shower.

Motorists, on the other hand, had to be prepared for slippery roads. There were no major obstacles. The police in North Rhine-Westphalia reported three accidents within a few minutes in the Rhein-Sieg district due to ice.
