The hosts won the first rally of the game for themselves, but after that the SSC dominated the events in the first round. The third in the Bundesliga around setter Pia Kästner quickly gained a clear lead thanks to several small series and finally won eleven set points. In the second set, too, it looked like the women from Schwerin would come through for a long time, but then almost gave up a 22:17 lead.
