MADRID, 17 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -
The Ukrainian authorities have assured this Tuesday that several people have died and "many" have been injured in a missile attack carried out by Russian forces against the town of Desna, located in the Chernigov region (north).
The head of the Chernigov Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, has indicated in a message on his Telegram account that it is "a bad morning" and has detailed that "the enemy has fired missiles at the village of Desna".
"Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service and security agencies are in the area. There are dead and many injured. I will give more detailed information later," he said.
"This proves again what I constantly say. The war is not over. The war has not abandoned the Chernigov region or our cities," he stressed. "I ask all residents of the Chernigov region to remain vigilant and to be careful," he concluded.
