Thales' cybersecurity activities account for 1,000 million euros in annual sales, as reported by the companies involved in the operation.

Thales, which has 10,000 software developers and 5,000 IT and cybersecurity engineers in 60 countries, plans to hire 11,000 people worldwide this year, including 1,000 in cybersecurity.

Maxive Cybersecurity's 546 employees located in Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg and Belgium will be integrated into Thales' cybersecurity organization of 2,000, collectively generating an estimated revenue of more than €1.9 billion in more than 60 countries.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022 and is subject to customary regulatory approvals. Stifel Europe Bank AG has acted as the sole and exclusive financial advisor to Maxive.
