TV tip: "The Death Ride" - "Croatia Crime" in the first

Croatia is not always idyllic: in the middle of the prairie landscape of Dalmatia, a man is shot dead while out riding at night, and his son escapes. The death in the 13th "Croatia crime thriller" puzzles inspectors Stascha Nowak and Emil Perica, played by Jasmin Gerat and Lenn Kudrjawizki. An inheritance dispute in the victim's family quickly becomes apparent.

To find the culprit, investigators must delve deep into the family's past. The film with the subtitle "The Death Ride" can be seen this Thursday at 8:15 p.m. on the first.

The screenplay by Ulf Tschauder initially wants to mislead the audience, but director Michael Kreindl has implemented it against a wildly romantic backdrop. Jasmin Gerat is the tough inspector who has the habit of talking to the victims. So she tries to understand what could have happened. She also speaks to the dead head of the family. In his family there was still an antiquated order with clear but outdated role models.

Daughter Ana (Karin Hanczewski) has been living in England for nine years. After separating from her husband Vinko (Dušan Bućan), the vet left her homeland with her son Denis. Lior Kudrjawizki, son of co-lead actor Lenn Kudrjawizki, stood in front of the camera for the role of Denis.

The Commissioner's private life is complicated

Denis is now 13 years old and is returning with Ana for her father's funeral for the first time. Immediately there is an argument, Vinko secretly takes the boy for a ride and is shot. The location of the evidence at the crime scene is opaque. The investigators Stascha and Emil have a hard time reconstructing the course of events, and Denis didn't see much in the dark.

Ana's mother Stela (Eleonore Weisgerber) tries to keep up the family facade. The inspectors can't overlook the fact that there are tensions between Ana, Stela and Ana's brother Nikisa (Sebastian Milling Village). And then there's Franjo Tudic (Simon Böer), who also owns a horse ranch. Was there a competition?

Stascha tries to find out why veterinarian Ana actually left her homeland. Maybe that way she can track down the culprit. The inspector's private life seems to be no less complicated than this case. Her father is in prison and will soon be tried.
