The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) celebrates 35 years of its summer courses with a reduction in enrollment to 20 euros, with an increase in the offer and with a nod to the rural world, since many of the topics They will be taught in small municipalities.

In total, there will be 53 courses until October 31 (last year there were 40). Of these, 50 have been designed by the university and the other three co-organized with other groups. The courses will be spread across all campuses: 19 in Cuenca, 14 in Ciudad Real, 11 in Albacete, seven in Toledo and two in Talavera de la Reina. Additionally, 21 of those 53 courses will be taught in rural settings.

Among the subjects that will be discussed are gender violence, 'Big Band' and jazz orchestra workshops, religion, heritage, the meat industry, wine, textile art and even the future challenges of prison administration, in support of the National Center for Penitentiary Studies. The entire program can be consulted on the website 'cursosdeverano.uclm.es'. The UCLM has had the collaboration of the Cortes de Castilla-La Mancha and the Gil de Albornoz Board of Trustees.

The rector, Julián Garde, explained that they have asked for old photos in rural areas to illustrate both the posters of the courses and the triptych of each one of them. Likewise, the two general posters show two children in a field of sunflowers and photos of families on the streets of numerous municipalities. "We want to involve society with this contribution of images and thus recognize the effort that regional society has made for the university," he added.
