Dortmund striker Sébastien Haller, who is suffering from testicular cancer, has to undergo a second operation. This is necessary to "finally eliminate this tumor that keeps me away from the field," said the Ivorian national soccer player on social networks on Wednesday. The 28-year-old stated that the fight was not over for him.

Borussia Dortmund then tweeted: "We wish you continued strength, Seb! Stay strong!" Haller, who was signed by Ajax Amsterdam for the BVB record sum of over 30 million euros this summer, was diagnosed with a testicular tumor during the pre-season.

Dortmund's sporting director Sebastian Kehl recently said there was no concrete plan for the attacker to make a comeback. "We can't give a fixed date," said Kehl.

Haller had completed a training session at the site of his former club Ajax Amsterdam at the end of October, fueling speculation of an imminent comeback. In an interview with UEFA, he had previously said that if he didn't have to have another operation, "and that would be very lucky, it could even happen quite quickly." Now Haller has to undergo another operation.
