Saint-Vivien-de-Medoc: driving competitions back on June 4 and 5

The presence of the hippodrome still testifies to the long equestrian tradition of Saint-Vivien-de-Medoc even if the legendary horse shows have disappeared. Jean-Pierre Ferrat (a former jockey) and Saint-Vivien Hitching, his association, continue to promote the love of horses through driving contests. He is organizing the New Aquitaine Championship in conjunction with the French Riding Federation, FFE, on Saturday and Sunday June 4 and 5.

For two days, the racecourse will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday 4 will be devoted to handling and dressage events. Sunday 5 will feature a 4.2km road marathon. It is a happy and wise return to a racecourse which is returning to its original vocation, its distinctive sounds and smells.

On Saturday evening, there will be a meal planned on the site. Jean-Pierre Ferrat will need to be registered on the site. Everyone tries to prevent the Covid years from destroying their lives and paralysis of their associative activities.

Contact 06 71 09 5606 or the FFE Website for more information about the driving competition.
