A man was arrested in the Netherlands in connection with the burglary in the historic Green Vault in Dresden in November 2019.

The 54-year-old is suspected of commercial fraud to the detriment of the State Art Collections, as the Dresden public prosecutor announced on Thursday. In December 2021, he pretended to an art detective that he had been offered a prominent piece of the loot, that he wanted to buy it and return it to the museum association.
