The move from goalkeeper Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach to German record champions FC Bayern Munich is apparently imminent. As the Gladbacher announced on Wednesday evening via Twitter, the Swiss did not take part in team training. "Negotiations about a transfer of the 34-year-old goalkeeper are in the final phase," the foals said.

Several media had previously reported that Sommer's move to Munich should be perfect. According to "Bild", Sky and "Blick", Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach are said to have agreed on a transfer. All that's left is Sommer's medical check-up. As a replacement for Manuel Neuer, who was injured for a long time, the Swiss national goalkeeper is to sign a contract with Munich until June 30, 2025.
