A ninth group policy with macronistes and former macronistes, consisting of 17 members, is "officially submitted" on Tuesday at the Meeting, announced to the Agence France-Presse of the founding members, the group LREM losing at the same time narrowly an absolute majority, at least temporarily.

Christened Ecology, Democracy, Solidarity, this new group is " independent ", " neither in the majority nor in the opposition ", wrote in their policy statement the elected officials, which include former Walkers as Matthew Orphan (that is, close to Nicolas Hulot), or of LREM of the left wing as Aurélien Stained or Cédric Villani. There is also the ex-minister PS to the Ecology Delphine Batho.
With this ninth group – a record –, LREM loses 7 of its members or related parties, falling to 288, just under the threshold of the absolute majority (289 seats), that he had, until then, alone. A powerful symbol, even if the majority group can build on the 46 MoDem and about a dozen elected officials to Act. The group could, however, rapidly recover the absolute majority if the future substitute Olivier Gaillard (ex LREM, which is expected to leave his position as mp to become mayor) joined the ranks of the Marchers, as announced by the deputy.

"An ambition that a strong social and ecological transformation"
The new group intends to contribute to the " ambition and strong social and ecological transformation ". "Responding to the ecological urgency, modernizing democracy, reduce social and geographical inequalities : we can do more and better in the national Assembly ", say the meps, for which, " after the Covid-19, nothing should be as before ".
"We will push and support all decisions to the height issues, but will oppose in all other cases," to prevent these mps, all elected in 2017 under the label LREM with the exception of Delphine Batho. They say that they are in an "open process" and call on the deputies who are there to " associate ".

The group will be co-chaired by Matthew Fatherless, and the ex-LREM Paula Forteza. Delphine Batho, and Cédric Villani will be vice-presidents, while Aurélien Stained and Emilie Cariou will be general delegates. In a document, the deputies listed their "15 top priorities " : this is" a plan of reindustrialization for sovereignty and self-found "in a" real transparency of public life ", through the restoration of a health-care system "robust" or a recasting of " the taxation of capital and wealth ". The elected members also show their commitment in favour of equality between men and women. They emphasize that "a political group in French has not counted such a proportion of women" (65 %).
