Meteorologists: We live in the warmest decade ever

Since 1980, each decade has been warmer than the previous. 2019 is also to be unusually warm.

The decade, as soon as is over, it will in all likelihood go down in the history books as the warmest ever, since records began.

The states of the World Meteorological Organization, WMO, in a report, which was presented at the UN climate talks in Madrid on Tuesday.

Since 1980, each decade has been warmer than the previous. Everything indicates that this is also going to apply for the years from 2010 to 2019.

the Planet's average temperature has, until now, has been about the 1.1 degree higher than in the præindustriel time.

2019 is to be one of the three warmest years ever measured.

The past five years will most likely be the warmest five-year period since measurements began, says the WMO.

Also, the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is at the highest level ever recorded.

- If we don't take fat and combat climate change, so we are heading towards a temperature matadorbet giriş rise in excess of 3.0 degrees at the end of this century - with ever more damaging consequences for human living conditions, says the WMO-chief, Petteri Taalas.

the WMO says that the man-made emissions of CO2 from fossil fuels, building of infrastructure, the cultivation of crops and transport of goods implies that 2019 will set a new record for the concentration of CO2 and thus to the additional warming.

the Oceans, which absorb 90 percent of the excessive heat, as greenhouse gases produce is now hotter than ever before - partly as a result of 329 billion tons of melted ice from Greenland.
