The Goldfinger James Bond's soon return in Aston Martin | Car

This is one of the cars most iconic of the film. Impossible indeed not to associate James Bond with his vehicle, the Aston Martin 'Goldfinger' DB5. Appeared for the first time in Goldfinger in 1964 with Sean Connery in the costume of the agent 007, she returned in six other movies of the saga, including the last two, Skyfall (released in 2012) and Spectre (2015). Aware of the image returned by this car, Aston Martin had announced in 2018 that its production would be restarted for the privileged few, unveiled The Figaro at the time.

But, while the delivery of 25 models of this limited edition was planned for the year 2020, their production will only just begin, according to Autoweek. According to Aston Martin, 4 500 hours of work will be required for each of the DB5, which will be hand-assembled in the factory in Newport Pagnell, United Kingdom. In addition to being gray-painted Silver Birch, as the original model seen in the film Goldfinger, the 25 vehicles will have the right to a particular treatment, and will be reserving a lot of surprises for their future purchasers.

Aston Martin has partnered with EON Productions, the production company responsible for the James Bond films, and Chris Corbould, supervisor of special effects in the saga, to include a multitude of gadgets that would not have disavowed the famous secret agent. License plates are removable (front and rear), telephone in the driver's door, systems to propel a cloud of smoke or oil on the back or even (fake) machine guns mounted in the front, the british manufacturer has apparently forgotten nothing in the panoply of gadgets.
