BRISTOL (Tenn.) -- Steve Torrence ran the fastest Top Fuel in Bristol Dragway's history Saturday, to qualify for the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals.
Torrence finished qualifying with a time of 3.667 seconds at 331.28 miles per hour for his fourth No. Torrence was the No. 1 qualifier this season and 31st overall in his career. This was the third attempt to set the Thunder Valley track record.
Alexis DeJoria was the winner. Scotty Pollacheck took the No. 1 spot in Funny Car, while Alexis DeJoria claimed the No. 1.
DeJoria was the first to earn her No. DeJoria was the first qualifier in five year, running 3.907 at 326.79 mph in a Toyota Camry. Pollacheck was ranked No. Pollacheck was No. 1 with a 6.859 at 193.80 on an EBR.
