appears As Howard Carter in 1922 of the tomb of Tutankhamun, the Sensation is perfect: an untouched Pharaoh's tomb. Almost 80 rulers this is the only one not to have been buried in the valley of the kings beige, all the graves several times robbed. Tutankhamun's reign was long regarded as insignificant. But the critical element of the history is: He was the son of Akhenaten and Nefertiti – and this pharaohs a Revolution by breaking committed a one-time taboo: from swore pair unleashed all the old gods and replaced them with a single – Aton. However, the revolt was a failure, Akhenaten and his wife were themselves overthrown. Her son was used by priests as a puppet, in order to restore the old order.

But the fact is, that the priests tried to his funeral, to pay off all the hints in the Chronicles: His tomb monument was never completed, the name of Akhenaten and Tutankhamun vanished from most of the inscriptions and records – the 18. Dynasty was to be off-limits, as if it had never existed. Tutankhamun decades came after his death into oblivion. Robbers were not able to find his grave – it was under a rubble mountain. Also a common official resolution by the priests (they took advantage of the offerings from old graves for new burials) was because you had simply forgotten that he ever existed. The irony of the story: Today, the Pharaoh that wanted to make it disappear is by far the best known.
