With Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford: Series "1923" enters a second season

"1923" is officially going into overtime. The second prequel series to the US mega-success "Yellowstone" is getting a second season, as the US industry magazine "Deadline" reports. The first season premiered on December 18 in the US on Paramount and was the streaming service's most watched US premiere ever. "There are more stories to tell," said Paramount's official Season 2 Twitter account.

"1923" takes place in the year from the title. A new generation of the "Yellowstone" family Dutton is the focus of the prequel show. The series stars Helen Mirren (77) and Harrison Ford (80) embody the couple Cara and Jacob Dutton. When their malicious, wealthy neighbor Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton, 76) wants to take over the Duttons' land, they have to fight for their family farm.

Ford plays an ancestor of the character John Dutton III played by Kevin Costner (68) in "Yellowstone". Paramount had previously released the prequel series "1883" starring Tim McGraw (55), Faith Hill (55) and Sam Elliott (78). She also plays in the eponymous year.
