Taylor Swift: Hackers want to steal concert tickets

Most fans of Taylor Swift (34) apparently don't have to worry about their concert tickets despite a hacker attack. As the ticket platform Eventim reports, in recent days unknown criminals have attempted to gain unauthorized access to user accounts in order to obtain tickets for Swift's "The Eras Tour" - and then resell them. However, the platform gives the all-clear and an FAQ page indicates that this project appears to have largely failed.

“The number of unauthorized resales is in the low double-digit range,” it says. The criminals' attempts were allegedly "quickly identified and largely prevented." According to the information, identified, unauthorized transactions were reversed, and the money from buyers of stolen cards was also secured before it was forwarded - and can therefore be refunded.

According to the report, data available on the darknet was probably used to obtain the tickets. After an investigation, the provider ruled out that the passwords used came from Eventim sources. The police have already been called in and the resale of tickets has also been temporarily suspended.

Passwords for accounts identified as potentially compromised have been automatically reset. The accounts were therefore not blocked. The provider recommends that you first change the password for the email address you use and then that for the customer account. Customer service can also be contacted via the company's corresponding email address.

Swift will be playing numerous concerts in Europe in the coming weeks and months as part of “The Eras Tour”. Several shows are also planned for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Between July 17th and 28th, the singer can be seen in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich a total of seven times. She has previously appeared twice in Zurich on July 9th and 10th and there are three shows in Vienna from August 8th to 10th at.
