Bremerhaven is one of the largest automotive transshipment ports in Europe. Up to two million vehicles are transported there every year. A worker finds the body of André Rusu in the trunk of a new car. He was employed at the car terminal as the area manager for drivers. The Bremen commissioner Liv Moormann (Jasna Fritzi Bauer) and her team take over the investigation together with colleagues from Bremerhaven. Her focus is on Rusu's nephews Gheorghe (Adrian But) and Oleg (Jonas Halbfas), who tune cars in a workshop and are involved in illegal business. But that's not all: Gheorghe and his girlfriend Marie (Luisa Böse) occasionally let vehicles be taken from the car terminal in order to drive nightly races. One of the vehicles turns out to be explosive and gets the young couple in big trouble.

Legendary cars, criminal activities and family conflicts: Director and screenwriter Sebastian Ko was apparently inspired for his "Tatort" by the successful film series "The Fast and the Furious". While the protagonists in the original are primarily men, the thriller is carried by two strong women. Jasna Fritzi Bauer plays the Bremen inspector Liv Moormann, Luisa Böse plays her half-sister Marie. This not only fits very well visually, the two actresses could really pass as sisters. In terms of acting, Böse can keep up with the more experienced Bauer. For Luisa Böse, who was born in Rostock in 1999, the appearance in "Tatort" is her first major TV role. As an actress she is a real discovery. Böse doesn't just step on the gas behind the wheel. The film's choice of music is also worth mentioning.

As a new team of three, the Bremen investigative team went into service in May 2021. About two years later, not much is left of it. Danish actor Dar Salim never really warmed to his character Mads Andersen and has only appeared sporadically ever since. In this case, he is briefly shown in video calls - a pretty superfluous appearance. The idiosyncratic forensic technician Linda Selb (Luisa Wolfram) only makes a flying visit before she is ordered to Brussels. Instead, Commissioner Liv Moormann has to deal with two new colleagues in Bremerhaven. This creates confusion and does not ensure that viewers sympathize with the Bremen "crime scene" team in the long term.

For investigator Liv Moormann, who comes from Bremerhaven, the case becomes a journey into her own past. She meets former colleagues, old acquaintances and her family. Dealing with all these conflicts sometimes demands more than the actual case.
