"Polizeiruf 110" and "Tatort": These actors said goodbye in 2022

There were big changes this year both in the "Polizeiruf 110" crime series and in "Tatort". Meret Becker (53) and Charly Hübner (50) are already "crime scene" history, in "Police Call 110" there was now a farewell to Lucas Gregorowicz (46) in the Brandenburg branch on Sunday. But that's not all: These stars were last seen as investigators in 2022 on Sunday evening at 8:15 p.m. in a "Polizeiruf 110" or "Tatort" film, or they still have one very last appearance ahead of them.

Lucas Gregorowicz has played the popular chief inspector Adam Raczek in the Brandenburg edition of the "Polizeiruf 110" series in the German-Polish border region since 2015. Until 2020 he formed the investigator duo alongside Maria Simon (46, aka Olga Lenski), from 2021 he continued with André Kaczmarczyk (36) as Vincent Ross. But on Sunday, December 11, 2022, his last case flickered across the screens with "Abyss". Due to psychological problems, Raczek emotionally quits his job. "After seven years and twelve adventures, it's time to go," Gregorowicz said of his decision. In the same statement he also thanked his role character Adam: "I will miss you, my friend.

A last "Polizeiruf 110" with Verena Altenberger (35) in her role as Elisabeth "Bessie" Eyckhoff from Munich is still in the pipeline. In the spring of 2023, however, it will be over after six episodes. Altenberger only succeeded the outgoing Matthias Brandt (61) in 2019 and announced her voluntary departure in the summer of 2022. The Bavarian Radio presented the actress Johanna Wokalek (47) as the successor. It was difficult for me to say goodbye to Munich's 'police call', Elisabeth Eyckhoff has become very dear to me over the past four years," explains the Austrian herself. She is a person who likes to go when it's most beautiful.

On January 9, 2022, the time had come: Charly Hübner had his last appearance in his prime role as Commissioner Alexander Bukow in the Rostock "Police Call 110". At the end of the episode "The Day Will Come" Bukow turns his back on his hometown and emigrates to Russia. Incidentally, his successor remained in the family: Lina Beckmann (41) has since embodied investigator Melly Böwe. What's special: In real life, Beckmann is the wife of Charly Hübner, who made her debut in April with the film "One can't choose one's family".

The 22nd case of Commissioner Martina Bönisch was also her last. In the episode "Love Me!" Bönisch dies in Faber's arms after a perpetrator shoots her in the abdomen with a police gun. Both the "Tatort" makers and actress Anna Schudt (48) herself refrained from announcing their decision to voluntarily leave the public in the run-up to the dramatic episode. The fans of the Dortmund "crime scene" were caught completely cold with the film death and shocked. Jörg Hartmann (53), as Commissioner Faber, will initially be the sole leader of the Dortmund investigative team.

The Berlin "crime scene" dealt with the situation that actress Meret Becker (53) will no longer be available in a completely different way than the Dortmund crew. As early as 2019, she announced her decision to the public and thus made her "crime scene" public. On May 22, 2022, the last episode with Becker flickered across the screens. In the film 'The Girl Who Walks Home Alone', Inspector Rubin also died in her partner's arms. Chief Inspector Karow (Mark Waschke, 50) is now investigating - like Faber in Dortmund - for the time being on his own in the capital.
