King Charles III and Camilla: The royal couple has arrived in Berlin

Your visit to Germany has begun: King Charles III. (74) and his wife Camilla (75) landed in Berlin around 2 p.m. for their three-day state visit. The royal couple was received at the airport in Brandenburg along with the honor guard of the guard battalion.

Charles left the plane in a simple ensemble of suit, white shirt and patterned tie, over which he wore a rich wool coat. Camilla stood out in her light blue coat and dark green fascinator hat. She wore black boots, a matching handbag and gloves.

For the two of them, it's now straight on to the Brandenburg Gate, where the welcome with military honors takes place this time. A novelty, because the reception usually took place in front of Bellevue Palace or in the park behind it. With the change of location, fans now have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the British royals themselves. Visitors should have access there since 10:30 a.m.

At around 4 p.m., the royal couple will go to Bellevue Palace, where there will first be a reception on the topics of sustainability and the energy transition. There will also be some personalities from politics present. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (67) will also give a speech.

In the evening the big state banquet takes place. According to reports, some celebrities such as Motsi Mabuse (41) or Die Toten Hosen singer Campino (60) will also be present at the event.
