The new season of the RTL format “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” starts on January 19th. The show will once again take place in Australia. RTL brought the twelve more or less prominent participants there. The star presents them one after the other. Today: Sarah Kern.

Sarah Kern was born in Cologne as the daughter of a German father and a Danish mother. At the age of 17 she went to Milan and Paris to work as a model. In the French capital she met the German star designer Otto Kern at the end of the eighties. Their son Olivier was born in 1993. The couple married two years later. After their divorce in 1999, Sarah Kern kept her ex-husband's last name and built her own business. She designed fashion and jewelry collections and was one of the most successful stars in the German home shopping industry in the noughties.

In 2018 she moved from Germany to Malta - also for financial reasons, as Kern had to file for personal bankruptcy. She wants to attract attention again with her appearance in the jungle. “Germany has forgotten Sarah Kern. Now I want to take place again,” she says. She also wants to present a new side of herself and act as a team player. "In the jungle I show the strong, likeable Sarah and not the rich bitch from before." And Kern is honest: she needs the money.
