John Lennon and Paul McCartney: Their sons wrote a song together

Lennon/McCartney 2.0. The sons of the legendary Beatles songwriter duo have recorded a song together. James McCartney (46) announced the release of “Primrose Hill” via Instagram. He posted a picture of him and his co-author and "good friend" Sean Ono Lennon (48). The similarity to her famous fathers Paul McCartney (81) and John Lennon (1940-1980) is obvious.

"With the release of this song we feel like we're really getting the ball rolling and I'm really looking forward to continuing to share music with you," young McCartney wrote alongside the image.

The title "Primrose Hill" refers to a hill in London's Regent's Park that gives its name to the surrounding area. The song is based on a "vision" that James McCartney had as a child in Scotland on a sunny day. "I saw my true love and my savior in my mind's eye," McCartney wrote on X a few days ago. "'Primrose Hill' is about getting the ball rolling and finding that person."

Paul McCartney promotes his colleague's song on social media. "My son James has a new song out called 'Primrose Hill' - check it out!" he wrote on Facebook. “And many greetings to Sean Ono Lennon, who co-wrote the song,” the ex-Beatle continued.

James McCartney is the only son of Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney (1941-1998). In 2010, James McCartney released his first solo EP, which his father produced. He has now released three albums. By the way, Dhani Harrison (45) played the guitar on a song from "The Blackberry Train" - the son of Beatle George Harrison, who died in 2001.

Sean Ono Lennon was born in 1975 to John Lennon and Yoko Ono (91). Like his half-brother Julian, who comes from John Lennon's first marriage, Sean has been making music since he was a teenager. Among other things, he went on tour with his mother.
